Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Intern
About the Role
Support applied AI/ML, model-readiness, experimentation and responsible AI features where verified data, project need and supervision support the work. You will prepare datasets, build baseline models, compare metrics, review literature and document experiments with reproducibility in mind.
What You May Work On

- Prepare and explore datasets for model development.
- Perform data cleaning, labelling, feature preparation and exploratory analysis.
- Build or evaluate baseline machine-learning models when appropriate.
- Compare metrics and identify overfitting, data leakage or weak validation.
- Support AI-assisted product features or rule-based intelligence where suitable.
- Review recent technical literature and compare possible approaches.
- Document experiments, assumptions, limitations and reproducibility information.
- Contribute to future AI roadmaps for approved projects.

- Communicate blockers, risks and delays early.
- Ask for clarification instead of making major unsupported assumptions.

- Use AI tools responsibly and verify any generated code, research or technical information.
- Test work before review or submission.
- Maintain only the documentation needed to explain, reproduce, test, review or hand over the work.
- Protect Company, client, project and personal information.
- Participate in review, integration, correction and final handover.
- Work respectfully with teammates and accept technical feedback.
- Use Company and client systems only for authorised internship work.

Basic Requirements
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma, Bachelor's or Master's degree in AI, ML, Data Science, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
Technical Foundation
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning and model evaluation
- Comfort with Python or another suitable language
- Basic statistics and data-analysis understanding
- Ability to distinguish experiments from validated production claims
- Willingness to explain models and results rather than only reporting accuracy

Internship Structure
90 or 180 days depending on the internship listing and offer.
